I love this time of year... I am well aware that we all get a little cabin fever when it gets wet and cold... but I do love this time of year!! Layers of clothing, with hats and scarves and gumboots... the rain (yes I said the rain), the leaves falling from trees, puddles to splash in, the leaves and sticks that are collected from the driveway, garden, footpath - dried and then used for making pictures or whatever the imagination can muster.  I love the inside play of making cubbies under tables, a big mess from cooking and friends coming over with more kids to turn your house upside down - its a fantastic playground ( and it lets you know you are alive).  I also love the fireplace of an evening, snuggling up to read books before bed and the big toasty warm cuddles that are still given so freely!  Time can pass too quickly and I don't plan on missing any of this... rain hail or shine. xx
